Eviction Storage Law:Protecting the Belongings of Tenants Facing Eviction

moving

On November 8, 2004, a law went into effect in Massachusetts that provides important rights to tenants who are facing an eviction or who have been evicted.

It is important to understand this law so that you can make sure your property is protected or stored where you want it stored if you are being evicted.

The Massachusetts Law Reform Institute has put together a booklet that answers basic questions about the new eviction storage law and a one-page flyer that is a general overview of the law.
